The greek mythology both adressed gods as natural element and relatively autonomous will.
Further down the historical road, there have been people “rising” to godhood, because legends were outtrending. To become a legend became comparatively lacking. The biggest influence towards that notion in the greek history were the Persian rulers, who claimed to be gods themselves.
Both the Islamist and Christians declared that notion as blasphemous thereafter.
That Persians annexed the islamic consensus, will still wanting to reach their forefathers godhood is not just merely paradox. It’s political bs.
Scientifically, there is no such thing as godhood apart from physical and therefore natural occurence. God could merely be existence itself and not a single entity with an allknowing and allpowerful will.
That scientifical idea is still accordable with the ancient religious claim, that GOD IS ONE, which later was mistranslated and falsely used for political gains as “there can be but one god”. Islamist especially believe that sentence to be a reason to proudly judge and sentence others, despite the apparent mistranslation from the yiddish roots of both christianism and islamism.
