Also, MC is an idiot too. It could’ve gone smoother if he wasn’t an idiot. Regardless of being more careful with words or not, Jishuka would’ve still declined it. But they would’ve still be close. They would’ve respected his decision, and decline it. They would just suggest having an alliance instead.
