i mean i’m sure he didn’t really want to be a pathfinder either, but with time being so alone and no one knows your story- it either gets you crazy, and lonely like him. or that pathfinder keeps exploring and one day you’ll get back- buuuuuuuuuut for him to be that kind of crazy and found one of his (pathfinder) i’d be smiling like crazy too. it also means it might have been decades, or even centuries for him. (tho he might be crazy enough to fool her altogether- there’s just too many possibilities)

The call on her mobile wouldn’t get through to her mom’s phone – for the same reason as TV don’t work. The base station is deactivated. Actually with that explanation her phone should show “no signal” and count time just fine as long as it’s close to her.
These are small details, but they break immersion into story.
