Yeah the writer, and mc is retarded and completely wrong. It’s known since forever, since the spear is actually one of, if not the first human weapon, that in 1v1’s the spear beats the sword 9 out 10 times. The author is not just wrong but annoyingly stupid on this one. A spear thrust is very hard to dodge if both opponents have equal speed, but if if dodged the spear just redirects to the target and hits with the shaft. You waste too much time trying to evade a spear that you will can’t counter and eventually get hit. Once you get hit, you will get hit more, until you die. There is a eve a youtube video about this, proving what i just said. Spear is the best melee weapon, period, and by far
