While it’s certainly possible for this to be future, but yet again, dimension traveller.
Alternative reality in which hunters and monsters came into existence due to potential portals 10 years ago. I’m guessing he can travel back, he can make profit out of the diamonds until the IRS and others find out. Blackmarket tho, yeah, mafia, yeah. He can do quite a lot.
