I like how the manga show both of them are mature. Mature not by erotic but I mean more adult. It is but natural to have some sexual thought about the one you love, everyone have it but it’s never admitted in manga, they always want to preserve the illusion of “pure relationship” the way he admited make it more realistic, he love her, he want her. And while yes it can be quite shameful to admit, it’s normal, it’s natural, and there should be no shame in admitting you are attracted to the one you love. It make them both show has adult wanting to go to the next stage of their relationship but desperatly struggling to do the first step shily and clumsy. Each of them trying to keep their calm as best as they can, him by trying to do a pokerface and act like nothing is happening and her by teasing him and trying to act confident to hide her shyness.
It’s cool to finally see some maturity in love manga, protagonist not acting like it’s they are kid and it is their first love but acting like young adult struggling with emotions that have never been as strong. While the situations they are put aren’t realistic, the way they act with each other feel more like I have seen friends handling themselves with their crush and their girlfriends.
