It’s entertaining, but the author’s view of people is closer to how people are under “normal” modern conditions than during disasters. People almost universally behave much better, much more cooperatively, when terrible things happen than during day to day life. For examples check out ‘A Paradise Built in Hell’ by Rebecca Solnit.
