Maybe I’m missing something but… Yulian took down goddamn dragons. Now a small gate makes him get some bs bloodclottage? Also I call bs on the fact that all the “barbarians” basically lived through killing big monsters, which probably have hides tougher than any shield the Emprie can muster, shouldn’t it all be a cake walk? or maybe the author tried to showcase just how much more difficult it actually is to fight a regular army, but still I get this feeling that this is way more demanding than it should.
