Whatever happened during the incident with Yulian’s mother, it is clear that Venersis was still in the lead of the force that attacked them. Therefore, the blame lies with him as the leader is responsible for his subordinants. If they behave out of line, it is still his reponsibility because he allowed them to be in his group. So yeah, the dishonor on his name is fully justified. Unless next chapters somehow show otherwise.
