…if the archipelago is kept afloat by the mana currents of the sea dragon, then you don’t need the sword, you just need a way to steadily supply enough mana to the island’s waters to keep it afloat. That means either “killing the sea dragon, and using its core to permanently keep the archipelago afloat” or “creating a new method via magic engineering to keep the island afloat, and killing the sea dragon so that the dragon sword isn’t needed for the seal anymore.
