Something similar happened to me when I was a clan leader in a different game, death is permanent over there and you gotta make a new character if you die. I was warned that some of my members are spies from a different clan and were planning on assassinating me. I was too arrogant and didn’t think they would be able to kill me so I ignored the warnings. I went to sleep and woke up to most of my clan dead because the traitors actually gave up on trying to kill me and just targeted my members instead. I killed them afterwards but I was too late to save my members
