I feel like they kind of rushed this reveal. I mean, everyone knew it was him already, so that couldn’t be a surprise. They should’ve added a twist on why he became the masked man instead or just added more context in general. Also, I don’t like the way he handled the information; it’s against his earlier character. He has grown a lot softer, but he is by far still not a good person, so why would he react so heavily over himself being a bit more evil? Keep in mind this is the same person who wasn’t worried about the continent being destroyed simply because it wouldn’t happen in his lifetime, even though he caused it. It honestly shouldn’t be that big of a surprise to him that he could’ve been more evil in life if he wasn’t so lucky.
Honestly I thought he was gonna shrug it off and be like “Well that sucks, not happening this time though”
I think that everyone with a brain knew that at least 40 chapters before the revelation
I caught up.. 
But atleast the big reveal happened

that woman had this creepy grin from the previous chapters, just before this vision of black world started .
I wonder if all the black world vision are all just lies to manipulate MC.

So now we just need the biggest answer to the question. What changed and no beside the fact he went back to the past something else change our mc might have been the minds eye or something different I just wanna know
