I just finished reading this chapter and it is just my theory but since guildmaster is a regressor i think the masked one is the mc in his first life or part of it? Since all other character in his previous life was present so thus the mc. But this time he found the mc in tutorial. Not sure tho I’ll keep reading bye.
Okay I get wanting to save them this time around, but there’s something to be said for minding your own business and going far away from them.
Theory about mc’s previous life:
he was dead, he got killed trying to save the mage girl in the tutorial along with the ‘pig’. The girl survived because she hid(we saw the girl hiding among the rubble). Mc only survived this time because regressor saved him while going on a different route to get items. It’s honestly not a far stretch since regressor should’ve recognised mc if he played a significant role in his previous life, unless he was the masked people. But then again the regressor’s subordinates said, ‘humans… will eventually be annihilated’ which makes me think the masked person wasn’t a human.
tldr: mc died in the tutorial in the regressor’s previous life and is only alive because regressor saved him this time round.

Also, I have a second complaint. These people keep talking about being the “managers” of the tutorial dungeon. Are they stocking the items, monsters, and class change options? Are they the ones writing personal hate mail in descriptions towards MC? Otherwise, what tf are they “managing”? Does this mean MC’s secret isn’t so secret? Or is this absolutely terrible translation and “managing” was meant to be, “guarding the exit and clearing it out after completion?”
God this chapter was so painful. All this was unnecessary. All MC needs to do is take Regressor aside and give him a partial reveal of his ability – “I can see stats, class, and their trait. So, tell me, Mr. Regressor, what do we need to accomplish? How can we achieve it with our secrets?”
Reading panels and panels of this delusional hyper-arrogant thinking makes me want to quot reading this. This is lazy and piss poor writing. Ah yes, because there’s no trust between characters I can simply create conflict on a whim and just make it be a wrong guess or misunderstanding.
Also, Mangaread, quit putting comments into the approval queue just because they are longer than a tweet.
I wonder if there’s another version of this told from hyunsungs perspective
