I can’t help but feel that mc was in the first time line the main villian…. Probably didn’t have the mindseye ability and didn’t have a chance to team up with the main cast ….. then went with another guild were he started plotting with the manipulative girl…. Kinda seem a fit for eachother.
the only reason he teamed up with the “good guys” was because he saw their potential with his ability.
