I think people like this just because they want to feel edgy. Honestly if you like the mc you are a piece of shit. This mc could still be a a smart strategist, and get away with some shady shit without the forced complete disregard for humanity, when that’s not even needed, it’s just the author having a pathetic teenage edgelord power trip
