Deokgoo is LITERALLY dragging the guild down and being a burden not because of his plateau in strength, but because of his stubbornness. He can’t help his plateau, but he can help being stubborn. All the MC has to do is tell him that.
I’ve said this twice already, but the author sure loves to make him dumb whenever he likes to. The MC pretty much manipulates anyone into doing anything, so couldn’t he easily just spike his drink or something?
Also, the MC is boutta get pranked, Jiyhe ain’t boutta go soft on him.
