Just wanna point out that the rope is not going to magically be a straight line, it’s gonna droop a hell of a lot, ontop of that there’s the weight of all that rope the drone has to carry, and also from what they drew the drone isn’t even that high up so they would definantly be able to see it. I mean it could still work but it’s not like grade school math, it’s university math.
Now that is some good aim 
I have the feeling the inventor is none to happy about his invention being used for war… but all great inventions have been funded by the military at least in part at some point in their development… He’ll have his peaceful flying machine after they win the war
