In the LN the disagreement is handled slightly different, Lysia discuses a solution directly with Ars and it goes a bit more in depth with why there’s such a big problem to begin with. The trader bought the wrong stones above market price so he’s heavily in the red because he’s an idiot and now he’d have to sell them for even more than that to make up for it. And then it’s Ars that explains the situation, that each side is going to have to take a hit for this mistake, and Lysia didn’t swoop in with a magical solution that made everyone happy. The manga really comes across as more emotional and hopeful than the LN xD It feels like a better experience
