In the LN this is shockingly the first time Ars’ mother gets mentioned?? During their talk he mentions his wife as one of his treasures and he’s entrusting them to Ars so… I guess she is alive? And there was no emotional talk with the retainers or Lysia before he died. I don’t recall if I mentioned this before but Lysia was promised to Ars before he was even born because she’s the third born, she has 2 older brothers. So Hammond and Raven agreed if Raven ever had a son they’d be wed and not because she’s “nice” xD She’s actually a coniving gold digger and just wants to make sure she marries someone powerful
god damn it it got me in the feels 
man the whole age thing goes right out the window with this manga, so MC’s Fiancee is 1 year younger then MC, they got engaged before MC was born, BUT she was already born when the father arranged the marriage
