I think mc is going to forget that he can literally kill any living creatures almost instantly with a barrier and sucking out the oxygen.
FMC hasn’t ages in ages. She supposed to be around 10 years older than MC, he’s 14 or so now, which should put her at roughly 24, but she looks 16 or 18 at the most
Other potential barrier deployment possibilities: put small barrier around just the head to create guillotine; create barrier around food and manipulate heat to cook, even create vacuum for sous vide; shrink barrier around person for binding, maybe block magic; extract all but hydrogen (he’s a reincarnator and would know) and ignite; put a barrier around ore and extract/refine. The way this skill is shown could have cheat possibilities. Was anyone else confused who was using detect in golden bird chapter? Maybe he has access to other magic and may learn appraisal, create fire/ice, etc.

Humu humu, a barrier unique ability. It would be awesome but i get the feeling if you or I got that ability it would be inflexible and singular in its utilities….
tho even if it was stagnant in its ability you could manipulate a barrier to do lots of things so i would still want that.
