I don’t understand one thing like how can there be so much mysogyny and patriarchy even in a martial arts fantasy? Like they literally are super humans so how can the worlds be the same as ours? It doesn’t make sense! Even in a supernatural power story like this, women are treated unfairly? It’s a male dominated society? Women are still just for decoration? And the fact that most of the martial artists and characters we see are men. Also that most “ugly” ones in power are men? Where are the women? And why are they always either lower in hierarchy than a man or the highest but useless? It’s a shitshow at this point. And the constant display of strong masculine women as this rare breed of human and how the very few women are overly sexualised is disgusting…. Sorry for the rant and I know many will be like “woke feminist bastard” or something but what I said is true. Most of these martial art fantasies are written by men and they just can’t comprehend a world where men and women are treated equally and women are actually higher in power without sexualizing them. These writers are bound by their own male privileged perception of the world. And I won’t talk about harem genre cause god…
