when you skip the first half of “your help last time is enough.’ and read “english” then you go back and think it said “your help last time is english.” until you realize it was enough not english

I wonder, do mages live over a thousand years for the pledge to last so long? I mean, unless the pledge extends to his offspring, I don’t see how he’ll be able to use it for more than maybe 60 or 70 years
