i think it’s very unlikely that something like that happened but like imagine if Ian had casted a spell on the prince to monitor and eavesdrop on him
The series started when Ian stabbed his heart with a knife engraved with time magic. Im guessing hes the only one who knows time magic is even a thing, otherwise the previous tower master prob would have figured out that he regressed. Its possible that that dagger was left behind by the golden dragon (and since the golden dragon ususal removes all its traces, its possible it purposeful left the dagger to Ian) so Im guessing Ian doesn’t know that this enemy exists, but I’m sure the golden dragon will side with him.

this dragonian guy clearly doesn’t care for the plight of humans and envy’s them for receiving the dragons favour. All indicators point to a long term plan of destroying humanity and the prince and those nobles are walking into it.
that said, Ian acted like he had a plan so I imagine this is all within expectation.
Let us look at MC for a moment:
His father is a vagabond and as it was just revealed the golden dragon is also very secretive
MC found the book on dragon language again as if he was guided there by something as he attested in the that chapther. As we know, the golden dragon controls time, so he may see the future and somehow nudge event in the right direction
MC already used a time spell to rewind time, as a golden dragon could
Conclusion:
MC is most likely the direct descendant of the golden dragon
