Yeah, that’s stupid. Moreover religious people in this kind of setting don’t act that way because:
- It’s counterproductive, just get the job done, saving your forces as much as possible, and “suppress” others at the end.
- The very core of her order is about extreme doctrine regarding heresy and here we are obstructing holy crusade against heretics – idiocy.
- Even if you want a higher position for you order, is it really necessarily killing practically your colleagues. Like, what the point of your “righteousness” before a god? You’re a failure.
It would make a little sense within corrupted paladin forces, but as we see there’s no demon-like corruption and etc or there were more narrative about paladin orders.
Very bad representation of betrayal, doesn’t make sense.

Her betrayal doesn’t really make that much sense…
She doesn’t disagree with the order, just feels they need to be more extreme.
So wouldn’t it make more sense for her to betray them after they’re exhausted and dying fighting the guy she wants to kill? Killing her allies halfway through plays into the enemy hands.

That thot is right about one thing though. Heretics do deserve immediate execute, lo and behold thot, you are to be executed first by the mc using that to gamble his mana and life
