They wasted 3-4 panels of text on generic roach villain without even giving the bug a decent backstory. Just mustachio filler text “Muahaha I like killin humans cuz I do what I do! Muahahaha!” every friggin chapter. 
Also we’re led to believe it took one turn of MC trust falling into the Power of Friendship when there’s plenty of reasons why it’s a bad idea. He has 5 other comrades and even one death would destroy him. Like he went 110% on this turn but ofc:
