The way how the MC took in that information is way too edgy and immature IMHO.. What would have happened if he didn’t kill fiends in the past? Would fiends have stopped developing their forces or not thought of creating stronger players if he left them alive (especially if good players have guilds and are a stronger force that would hunt them whenever possible)? The answer is clearly “no, that would be stupid”… The only difference might be that fiends would have been able to grow stronger earlier and killed even more ppl.. This “realization” felt cheap because anyone with a level of introspection (which the MC who completed the crazy trials which could’ve destroyed other players) would’ve been put together.
