Dayton is a tough rank 5 but he’s a buffoon. Our MC tricks him into giving him his sheet of runes and fleeing the estate. Dayton is terrified of Evergreen the leader of the Torrin family because he snagged some of her runes. Well there’s more to that but that’s later on.

Too many plot gaps
Why were they even trying to summon a demon in the first place? The mcs father didn’t demand a single thing from the demon, instead it feels like he wants to get rid of the demon/keep it in check. All he requested was, “do not get involved in my affairs”
Also rune combinations? For 20 base runes there are almost 7^20 combinations, and the mc perfects it in 2 tries? Makes the purple god rune seem really useless.
