A kind of promising start. It is not clear yet, what the danger to the world yet, for now it is just a simple VR game and a addict who returned in time.
For what I see it, the main point of the novel: “Will he be able to defer those guys in the VR game this time?”. This sounds a bit to low of an inspiration for the time moment.
Well, we do not know anything of the origin of the game, and if those AI characters are actually people from another world or something. And there might be even a threat to earth this time around….

So far it seems alright, I don’t understand why he got sent back in time, but I’m sure it will be explained later, though it does seem kind of basic, like he gets mad and cry’s all night long and somehow, he regressed 3 years?! 
What kind of game would allow you to be continuously ganked and have your level drop…? No one would play that shit. Also, I’m sure if he just recorded his sessions and put them online, everyone would stop doing it out of shame. He could probably get a shit ton of views too.

I have a mixed feeling about this. I thought it was the typical “the game has become reality”, but it’a just a normal game. And MC spent everything he had for a game, just to be a top ranker. TBH, this is retarded, it’s like a teenage game addict spending their parents’ hard earned money on a game just to be seen as “cool”.
And more than that he’s mad cuz he got killed in game??? It’s not about ganging up or not; game is always like that, and I guess MC ain’t that much of a saint either with his title as “King of Violence”. And he’s getting all sad and angry cuz he lost???
