Saihate No Paladin - Chapter 37
Comments for chapter "Chapter 37"
What I adore most about this series is the fact that we have actual CHARACTER development. Our MC doesn’t start off as an insanely overpowered super-being with built-in plot armor. The supporting characters change and grow, with nuanced personalities that shift depending upon the narrative. Even the antagonists, usually fulfilling trope-like roles in other stories, are fully developed characters with multiple dimensions. Bishop Bagley and Stagnate are excellent examples of subverting expectations. This truly is a uniquely different manga, and I am overjoyed that it exists.
I like how Stagnate isn’t evil, but he admits that a part of him is immature and just wants stories of heroes doing heroic deeds. As Gods cannot die, he yearns for the victories of those mortals that can overcome their fear of death and emerge as heroes. He doesn’t want needless slaughter in his name but a great battle that will be told for ages to come
