I know these people are under some sort of spell from Lily’s skill(being the villainess and all) but the bad guys are just too comically evil for my taste.

I love Charlotte in the few chapters of this manga I’ve grown attached and I love her. Here’s why
Charlotte is the definition of Nobility and Grace. She took all that abuse for who knows how long. Even when she faced with death by a completely unfair trial as people who knew her and had a close bond with her, cursed her in the streets. She accepts it.
Charlotte accepts that she is going to die for something that is completely not her fault. But instead of what would normally would happen and be a revenge story; she refused. She refuses to cry or show she was scared, to give in to her hate. Charlotte refused to let them win and break her. She refused to even let them think it. She is calm, collected and determined to face this without a shred of fear.
Hell she had the audacity to call the executioner a sad person for what he said he was gonna do when this was done. That was badass.
Anyway thank you for coming to my Ted talk feel free to comment. I respect your opinions so please respect mine

This mind control ability is so stupid. The author is using it like a narrative device to justify their mindless, belligerent characters. According to the previous explanation, Lily is a saint and Charlotte is devil incarnate, so why would they want to skip the evidence that’ll damn her, if not because you think she’ll be proven innocent?
