He made an exception for his bestie coming across, but it was a One-Time thing. What he should get, is eventual permission to bring the two girls across, to a hill or mountain overlooking their city, so they can see with their own eyes where their “Summoned Beasts” hail from. Just as a one time thing, and no more than a hour. That would be kind of nice, in my mind.
