The knight / noble woman isn’t a problem for the offered salary. The problem is the deity that doesn’t understand (or the author of the manga) that the conversion of money is relative to what it will buy in the other economy. Regardless, this character can easily live like a king or emperor in this other world if he just converts a little of his yen into marks and buys things to bring back in his storage to his world to sell for way more than the conversion of 1 mark to 1 yen. He literally brought a motorcycle in his arms (because it didn’t fit in the storage space) so it is possible he can carry anything he can bear the weight of long enough to get through the waystation room. Imagine if he brings over inventions like a generator for electricity and power cords. He could also easily bring books about chemistry, science, physics, medicine, and technology or manufacturing processes to ‘invent’ things in the new world. As long as he just converts his money from yen to marks he is getting the better end of the deal (clearly the marks are worth way more than yen in buying power. 10k yen, which he converted to marks, is currently 61 Euro or 66 USD, yet she says the maximum of 600 marks (equals 600 yen) is the daily wage for a royal class soldier (which would mean they live on 3.7 Euro or 4 USD daily there). He just needs to avoid converting marks back into yen.
