Oh, makes sense. So the whole system of five+ worlds (including the Earth and other attached worlds, without the Forest), was in a time-loop. Probably started in 2015 chronologically and spent few turns trying to realise what his powers allowed him to do. By the time the real MC gathers enough energy for a reverse jump (and probably for connecting his world to a time-looping system itself, which could’ve taken even more energy), the Regressor was ten years into another one of his loops, having used last 500 years trying to memorise the best timeline possible by learning about all the important events.
Cool idea, I like it.

So despite the flow of time being different it is also outside of time travel somehow. That doesn’t make much sense and is pretty much a massive gaping plot hole I guess we can skip over it
