mc saying “if only I had attended the reunion, they would be safe!” is stupid and very common in stories. Not the reunion but just characters saying “if only I hadn’t done that, x wouldnt have happened” or something. But if mc was here and it didn’t get attacked, he would blame himself for having fun here while he couldve been out there saving people. So 1-1 = 0, bad way of thinking
I hope we’re not getting a distraction avalanche because the author couldn’t decide how to progress. Lots of new stuff popping up all of a sudden without tying up existing plot lines or questions. Not usually a good sign.
