A few chapters ago someone said this arc is cringe, but if you think about it, it was planned from the start.
The reason Kei choose a monk in SLF was to prep for this.
And it creates a conflict with the time limit of the unique scenario in SLF.
Add to it all, it’s a fun way to develop the characters. It’s well written
