I wonder how this very long arc ties back into the plot of SLF. If it doesn’t relate to the plot of SLF ill be sorely disappointed that the mangaka spent so much time and effort on introducing some new characters and a new VR machine

Well, that was a nicer pacing than it could’ve been. Glad we skipped the last battle, but that party may take some chapters too.
Really, the best option is to wait a year or two…
