Our family has smth similar. Every day we have “Abendsgebet” or “evening prayer”. It’s a few minute long prayer that we say together each night. This time is also often used to discuss the happenings of the day or the plans for the next one. We also have lunch together on Sundays. If we didn’t have these little gatherings, despite living in the same household, some of us could potentially not see each other for a whole week.
