I will get some hate for this, but just know I’m not calling the story bad. I want to point out that it seems the author is willing to add/remove abilities and restrictions at will whenever it’s convenient.

For example, he was parrying a bunch earlier, but now that it’s stronger it has a cooldown? Sounds like this upgrade was really a downgrade. What kind of combat game has a 10 second cooldown for the parry function, and 12 second cooldown for the dodge function?

Still a fun story, though.

Huh. Someone definitely ships MC and Emul. There’s definitely a fan out there that has that ship in mind. It isn’t a kind of story that needs any shipping at all, but… I find the idea of becoming that fan to be pretty fun…
