as far as I know we still don’t really have functional hypersonic missiles, right? we still depend on ICBMs as the bulk of our nuke capabilities. they’re fast but not hypersonic fast and still open to interception.

Can’t believe that I see in the Western comic a whole sentence actually praising Russia for something. What Belkan witchcraft is this sheesh.
And in fact in 1999 the explanation on the internal affairs of Russia are actually on point here – we actually had severe problems these years and we did actually sell arbitrary stuff to everyone around. 1999 is still the year of this useless drunk moron Yeltsin.
Well, let’s say I’m really really interested how the author will depict the later years in this story!
