I have a theory……..
What about if Sigris wasn’t the target for being sent back but collateral damage because they used her cores to do it, while she happened to die as the ultimate coincidence? The king wanted to change something so he sent somebody back or somebody else came back and Sigris’ core was the fuel for it. One fo those crazy magicians did it to get away or change something and now we have a novel.
