This feels kinda… Bad.
The son has lived his entire life under the watchful eye of his sister. He has not been allowed to be a dragon in his own right. Now, he is dying, a life survived and not lived, kept under lock and key since the moment he knew his sister.
And they’re supposed to reconcile and go back together? I can understand the reconciliation, but why would he ever want to be with her again? Has she not dominated enough of his life? Has she not lived his life for him, while his own wishes have been left to the wayside?
Let me make an analogy. You have bought a game called “life”. Your older sister wrests the controller for you and makes all the moves. At the final boss, you decide that you want to play for yourself, this game that shuts off permanently after the final boss, and you hold the controller away from your sister because it’s the last chance you’ll ever get to play it.
Now. What the f*ck kind of convoluted logic would convince you to give the controller back to her? She has her own copy. Now yours is hers too. Where’s your own? Won’t you take control for just one goddamn minute?
