in any case, insta death just can’t be the weakest.
Level 1 cap, Death magic doesn’t work on the undeads, and magic range is like 3 or 4 yards. Team up soon…should probably get a weapon.

I have mixed feelings on this. I would imagine having such a low level cap would have been viewed as a disability, but instead of them laughing him off it would have been refreshing for them to view it as a disability and try to help him live a normal productive life, maybe even see if he was cursed at some point or find a mage that wants to research that skill to make it useful.
This would have helped the plot in my opinion, the mage could come back and say “THIS GUY IS OP!!!111” and things could move on from there. Instead we have the classic trope of “under appreciated guy saves the day”
Granted, i also suspect that a lot of people live for the trope of “under appreciated guy saves the day” so that’s probably why we see it so often.
So far i like this better than berserk of gluttony. I am hoping that when he comes back with this things corpse, the guild master does an investigation and concludes “yep this is an op power” Still waiting to see what the national crisis is.
