This chapter was pretty good. It established what the situation is actually like and where he stands. He is able to control them through food, but they are still monsters and inhabitants of the tower. They are not human, they won’t just resolve things through talking, and violent battles like this is the norm, to the point that the others won’t even bear it any mind and is more concerned with getting a snack. He is by no means in a safe situation even with how much he has developed. It’s easy to forget that with how cute everything is
