Isnt this akin to being the worlds foremost authority on a particular topic or trade, but then some authority releases a degree on that topic or trade and because the person who knows the most about it doesn’t have that degree everyone just treats them like they’re an uneducated idiot?
Their world is stupid lol, if you can learn magic without a gift in magic then the gift is just a nice to have.
