I wanna say she is dumb, but no she is just uninformed of the bullshit politics happening. or rather, she can’t see that the kingdom only wants the land for themselves and they can be thrown in the wasteland for all they care.
sacrificing yourself to the kingdom won’t solve the problem. just like fighting the war in an isekai to defeat the demon king won’t solve the problem. the fastest way to end a war is to off your immediate commander’s head.
the government/kingdom is not your friend. they can toss you out whenever they feel like it. just like they can draft you into conscription if they feel like it.
