ok guessing he forgot he had poison immunity yet in that time he was falling could he put barrier around himself to keep poison out?

Monster ranks are so inconsitent here… the SS rank dragon acknowledged the MC has more magic power than him, the MC can freeze an A rank monster to death, but not this B rank thing… and that B rank thing has quite the strong final attack too… and the Dragon should be A rank, why was he struggling so much?
So many inconsistencies…
