i’ll be honest. technically and practically, sword saint existence is inconsequential to the plot nor to mc beside allowing mc to copy the sword emperor skill.
in a sense, after knowing the world setting, his so-called ‘justice’ to eliminate mc is not justified since all top rankers were sinners to begin with.
sure they have reason do to so, but it does not erase their sins.
heck, even sword saint is not clean. so maybe gongja is an assassins who murder 4k people as he assumed, but considering the whole tower world, sword saint does not carry ‘justice’ nor does he eligible to enforce his justice.
at most it was his prejudice AND being unreasonable unable to tolerate others.
