well, if the citizens iq is so low that they will be stirred up to attack family and friends and the lord with no proof, when why not use the same logic/situation against the people trying to beat you?
thats just like a cop who palms drugs, then walks up to a citizen, reaches into their pocket and “pulls out drugs” they “had on them”

How come intelligent, captivating stories get dropped after like 30-50 chapters but this stupid bullshit gets over 500 and goes on for years? It’s infuriating. I will continue reading this for now in hopes of it getting better, but somehow I doubt they will improve any of the story or the charactees. I’m probably reading something that is targeted at elementary school children and expecting too much, but the setting is interesting. So vexing… please let me be wrong in the next 30 chapters.
