It’s a constant amusement how what is called silk-pant behavior when it’s the antagonists doing it, is seen as being clever when it’s the protagonists doing it. I’ll refrain from drawing broader conclusions about the Chinese volksgeist, other than to say that this particular type of hypocrisy is endemic.

What do you mean, “he wouldn’t have trouble getting women with his face?” He can get girls by waving his stacks of cash and showing off his car and mansion.
