Comments for chapter "Chapter 18"
oh yeah!~ i study nordic mythology for fun and there are many tales of fenrir but the main origin is that there was a foretelling of the disasters that Fenrir would cause. The rest is a bit blurry for me but basically the gods feared him, i guess im just repeating what the story says
there it goes, since the start of this chapter it was brewing, if that becomes a damn pet i’m dropping it inmediately, holy crap do i hate pets in this stories
HE WAS JUST A CHUBBY LITTLE PUPPY
There was a prophecy that fenrir would bring about Ragnarok, so the gods who feared that the world would end because of him wanted to imprison him to prevent this.
Fenrir wasn’t a tiny pup, he was a pup, just giant af, and was very bored, which is important to the story. The gods went to fenrir and said, hey we will tie you with this rope and you’ve to try and break out of it. And if he failed to do so, the gods would obviously let him out, this was just a test of strength after all *wink*
Fenrir knew something was up but was confident in his strength and like I said, very bored, so this would be a nice way to pass time he thought.
Then he kept breaking all the ropes and chains the gods brought to imprison him until one day they brought a rope which felt weird to fenrir so I don’t remember if he demands it or the gods offer it but tyr puts his arm in fenrir’s mouth. Then when fenrir couldn’t break out of the ropes and noticed they weren’t gonna let him out either he felt deceived.
When fenrir realised he’s been deceived, he tears off the limb and thus began his hatred for the gods of Asgard.
A pup that was just bored and a troublemaker at best by their standards, because it was deceived, started to develop rage against those who imprisoned him and eventually brought about Ragnarok.
Scared of the prophecy, the gods made it come true with their own hands.
This is ironically closer enough to the original story then most versions. Fenrir actually was the one that got deceived by Asgard first, that’s where the hate of asgard comes from
Dont get me wrong its a pretty story but that isnt how it goes Fenrir def bites Tyrs arm off and im pretty sure he doesnt get a sword thru his mouth i could be wring ofc
Abusive relationship
Not that heartwarming considering how he was beating him up the past chapter
Isn’t that make him like a dog instead of a wolf?
Fenrir 😭😭😭
